Campus Plus, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian University Press, is seeking an advertising professional to serve on its board of directors as the Industry Representative.
The Industry Representative is a non-voting director and serves as an advisor to the board. The position is an unpaid volunteer position and the Campus Plus board meets approximately four times per year--two in person and two via Skype.
This is an ideal opportunity for sales leaders looking to mentor student journalists and up-and-coming media professionals. Suitable candidates would have a minimum of five years' professional experience in planning and executing regional and national ad campaigns. Some experience with online advertising is preferable.
Canadian University Press is a national, non-profit co-operative, owned and operated by more than 80 student newspapers from coast to coast. Campus Plus is the national ad agency of the campus press, representing over 100 newspapers with a total weekly circulation of 450,000.
