Postmedia has exited the news wire business and signed a three-year agreement with The Canadian Press. Postmedia will no longer manage or produce commodity news for its daily newspapers, including the National Post, the Montreal Gazette and the Ottawa Citizen, or any third party clients. Instead, the media company and will now outsource international, breaking news and general interest health and lifestyle content to CP and AP (Associated Press).

Postmedia newspapers, previously under Canwest, cut ties with The Canadian Press in 2007.
