Nanaimo Daily News deputy editor Philip Wolf will become the paper’s interim managing editor following the departure of Cale Cowan. Cowan, who began at the News in 2005, recently accepted an editorial management position at the Times Colonist in Victoria.

Wolf has been with the Nanaimo Daily News for over two decades and has served as deputy editor for the past seven years.
