Raymond Tardif, associate editor and current vice president information at Le Soleil, will be retiring on December 10 after working in Quebec’s daily newspaper industry for over 40 years. Pierre-Paul Noreau will be taking over from Tardif as the paper’s newly appointed deputy editor and vice-president, information.
Gilles Carignan, news editor of Le Soleil since 2006, has been named chief information officer. His appointment follows the departure of Martin Pelchat who is now serving as a bureau chief for La Presse.
