Quebecor owned Sun Media has pulled out of the Ontario Press Council. Earlier this week, Glenn Garnett, vice-president of editorial at Sun Media, submitted a letter to the council citing the organization's "politically correct" standards as the reason behind the decision.

The OPC investigates complaints from the public against daily papers and is made up of representatives from its member newspapers and the public. In 2010, Quebecor withdrew its membership from the Quebec Press Council.
