TC Media launches new community newspaper in Quebec
TC Media, a division of TC Transcontinental, has launched a new weekly publication, the Valleyfield Express.ca. The free community paper will be distributed to over 39,000 households in Quebec's Montérégie region and will be complimented by a website, www.valleyfieldexpress.ca. New trade campaign launches
Newspapers Canada is pleased to announce the launch of a new industry trade campaign. The boards of directors for both the daily and community newspaper associations endorsed supporting our industry by highlighting the strength of our readership to media planners, buyers and advertisers. The campaign began this week and will be featured in Marketing, Strategy, Media in Canada and Infopresse in their print and e-newsletter editions over the first quarter of 2012. Final deadline for Canadian Community Newspaper Awards one week away
Community newspapers have until Wednesday, January 18 to submit editorial content, photography and multimedia initiatives for the 2012 Canadian Community Newspaper Awards. Participants must register for the awards online and print out all required forms to include with submission packages. Newspaper tearsheets and all supporting documents must be submitted in hard-copy to the Newspapers Canada office and postmarked on or before January 18 to be eligible for this year’s competition.
