We are now accepting entries for the 2014 CCNAwards!
This national awards program celebrates the very best in community publishing from across the country. Each year, publications compete against one another in similar circulation classes and are judged by a panel of industry experts. With a diverse range of awards categories—covering writing, photography and multimedia—the Canadian Community Newspaper Awards offer learning opportunities for publications of all shapes and sizes.
New this year, the CCNAwards have partnered with Newspaper Toolbox to create a customized online entry platform to make the submission process quick, easy and more affordable. We’ve also increased the number of times you may enter certain categories. Publications will now be able to submit up to three entries in select categories.
The Canadian Community Newspaper Awards are open to CCNA members in good standing as well as to Canadian Campus Newspapers.
Entries must have been published between January and December 31, 2013 to be eligible to compete in the 2014 Awards.
Entry Deadlines: We will be accepting entries from now until Friday, January 31, 2014.
DEADLINE EXTENDED: The entry deadline for the 2014 CCNAwards has been extended to Wednesday, February 5.
Early-bird deadline is Friday, January 24, 2014.
Newspapers who submit entries on or before the early-bird deadline will be entered into a draw for a voucher worth up to $1,500 to use toward the cost of attending the 2014 INK+BEYOND conference in Charlottetown, PEI. This voucher can be used for one staff member, is non-transferable and has no cash value. The early-bird draw is open to CCNA members only.
